FOR QUALITY
Ever since 1952, when Volkswagenwerk A.G. first began selling engines for industrial applications in Germany, "world-class quality" has been the one constant that has distinguished Volkswagen industrial engines as they've evolved through the years.

Today, Volkswagen industrial engines are recognized for their durable construction, compact dimensions, low noise and vibration levels, high power-to-weight ratio and fuel efficiency - quality features based on the automobile and truck engines that have earned the world's trust for durability, economy, and performance.

FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Volkswagen has long been a leader in emission control technology. We were among the first automakers to mass produce fuel-injected engines to reduce emissions and improve fuel economy. We helped to develop the catalytic converter that is the current industry standard, and have already introduced a catalytic converter on diesel engines for lower emissions levels.

At Volkswagen, our commitment to the environment goes back over fifty years, when we equipped our first factory with systems to improve air and water quality. In addition, we go to great lengths to make our processes and components safer for the environment, through recycling and "green" design.

FOR SELECTIVITY
Volkswagen makes a full line of affordable industrial engines for a wide range of applications. Choose from a family of four, five, and six cylinder engines with similar configurations for gasoline, LPG, and diesel operation - a feature that reduces your design requirements.

FOR ECONOMY
As a result of mass production on a worldwide basis, Volkswagen industrial engines are priced less than you'd expect for state-of-the-art engineering. Savings in your design and installation are also possible, since Volkswagen's engines are relatively lightweight and compact in comparison to other engines of similar output.

FOR SERVICE
The Industrial Engine Group of America, Inc., was established in 1967 to provide North America OEM's with the support required for successful product development and sales. This background has given us a wide range of experience in serving the industrial sector, locally and internationally. The Group is backed by more than 10,000 automobile dealers and workshops worldwide. Most Volkswagen industrial engine parts are identical to automotive parts. Also, service training is provided for your personnel.

CUSTOMIZED POWER UNITS
Volkswagen's state-of-the-art engineering has created the 1.9 liter ADE, a liquid cooled, turbo diesel engine. They are the cleanest and quietest engines in their class, with 3.81:1 and impressive 3.31:1 weight to horsepower ratios, respectively. The 1.9 liter ADE engine packs 78 HP, yet weighs a mere 467 pounds in it's complete power unit form. The 58 HP, 1.9 liter ADG engine weighs only 450 pounds it's complete power unit form. This kind of responsive engineering is ideal for any customized application need.
